Failure Club (Members Only) @ Mothership HackerMoms
Apr 22 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Morgan Spurlock, Director of Supersize Me and all around idea guy, came up with this divine/diabolical idea of the Failure Club. In it, you tackle something that you deeply want but terrifies you, and you try to fail at it in a big way. HackerMoms do that together as a weekly group to vent, listen, applaud and encourage each other to do what scares us and still survive. We’ll have a failure wall for our trophies. It’s not so scary when we’re together, and the failure wall becomes a wall of pride – because in order to fail that big, we must really, really try.Tearful inspiration: http://video.search.yahoo.com/search/;_ylt=AjUT7PDDA0OJwhVI3usIvNISkUIv?fr=uh3_screen_vert_gs&type=2button&p=failure%20club.

The Failure Club is for HackerMoms members only to preserve a safe space and sense of commitment. Each Failure Club lasts 3 months long and projects should fit in a 3 month plan that ends with an achievable goal. Each meeting is spent working on the next step of your dream coming true. Email info@hackermoms.org with questions. Fail fast and start again! Members can sign up for childcare at: http://hackermoms.eventbrite.com.

Wellness Thursdays! (member only) @ Mothership Hackermoms
Apr 23 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

We are pleased to bring you an hour every week where you can relax. Yoga, massage and breathwork, YAY!

When: 10am to 11am EVERY Thursday
What: Sometimes yoga, sometimes massage, and sometimes both! Please bring a yoga mat or any other props you may need. I have a few mats and props but probably not enough for everyone. Also, if anyone would like to show up a little early to help set up, I’m sure that would be appreciated by all.

Who:
Isabelle began practicing yoga 15 years ago as a means to center herself. She transitioned from student to teacher by completing the Hatha Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Junction with Michelle Paisely. Isabelle’s teaching style appeals to students of all abilities and levels. She uses humor and clear instruction to focus on alignment, the benefits of poses, and breath. Her classes seamlessly blend her love of yoga with her dedication and commitment to health. She lives in Oakland, CA with her husband, Brandon, daughter, Grace, and their dog, Bacchus.

Corissa has been studying yoga and tantra for 8 years, traveling as far as India to learn from different teachers. Through her studies she has learned that her true talent lies in creating a space of peace, where her students can relax but also feel powerful. Her classes do not just focus on the physical challenges of yoga but will dare you to go to places in your body that are often ignored. Tantra has influenced her teachings heavily. Her classes will use yoga asanas for strengthening and opening the lower chakras, and breath work to increase the awareness of mind, body and spirit. She hopes her students leave the class empowered and transformed.

Cara graduated from the National Holistic Institute in 2010. She continued to study massage, specifically Lomi Lomi, with a mentor as well as in workshops. She believes that touch truly can heal, and approaches her sessions with that idea in the forefront of her mind. She combines the long flowing strokes used in Lomi Lomi with deep tissue and other modalities to create a productive yet nurturing massage, always with the focus on the breath.

Where: You know where, the mothership! See you in shivasana.
